Overview

Open FIESTA (Open Faculty for Innovation, Education, Sciences, Technology and Art）was co-established by Tsinghua University and the Center for Research and Interdisciplinary in Paris (CRI，Institute renamed as “Learning Planet Institute (LPI)” in December 2022) in June 2015. Open FIESTA is dedicated to integrate global innovation resources, work towards the creation of new knowledge, explore complex social and scientific problems, nurture the students with creative ideas and innovation, and inculcate in professionalism and a sense of social responsibility.

Introduction of programs

01 Master of Precision Medicine and Healthcare (BIO³ (Biology-Nanobiology-Bioinformatics))

Master of Precision Medicine and Healthcare (BIO³ (Bio-Nano-Info)) is on the frontier of interdisciplinary scientific research covering life sciences, biotechnology, nano-technology, and information technology. Students enrolled in the program are engaged in the study and research in interdisciplinary fields of biology, artificial intelligence assisted diagnosis and treatment, medical big data and surgical robots.

As an interdisciplinary and innovative master program, students with backgrounds in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Material Engineering, Electronic Engineering and other related majors are welcomed.

02 Master of Electronic Information（Internet + Innovation Design）

1) Interdisciplinary Track

Master’s program in IID (Internet + Innovation Design) is on the frontier of research on discipline-crossing innovation design based on information technology. Students enrolled in the program are engaged in the study and research in interdisciplinary fields of Information Science and Technology, Intelligent Manufacturing, Management and Organizational Behaviour, Social Science, Finance and Art.

As a research program focused on advanced interdisciplinary fields in information technology and innovative design, we welcome students from backgrounds in Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Social Sciences, Economics and Management, Finance, Industrial Design, and other related disciplines.

2) AI+X Innovative Engineering Track

As we enter a transformative AI-native era, industries such as science, finance, design, healthcare, and education, etc. are experiencing profound changes. AI is not just reshaping existing paradigms; it’s creating entirely new ones. The demand for innovators who can leverage AI technology has never been greater. Under this background, we lauch the AI+X Innovative Engineering track in the IID Master Program of SIGS Tsinghua.

The AI+X Innovative Engineering Program stands at the forefront of this evolution. Our mission is to cultivate visionary innovators who can harness the power of AI to drive advancement and social progress across diverse sectors. Students will immerse themselves in cutting-edge AI technologies, collaborate with like-minded peers, break down barriers, ignite creativity, and forge their unique paths in AI+X innovation.

01 Cost

Tuiition: 33,000 RMB/Year

Health Insurance: 800 RMB/Year

Accommodation Fee: 800-1250 RMB/Month

02 Financial Aids

Living Allowance: 600 RMB/Month

*We encourage students apply to Chinese Government Scholarship and other financial aids of Tsinghua (Tuition Scholarship) and Tsinghua SIGS (SIGS Outstanding Scholarship)

*If admitted students do not obtain the China Government Scholarship (CGS) or other Tsinghua scholarships (which offer higher coverage of tuition and expense). Students will be granted with an assistantship covering at least 60% of the tuition (financial support for all students).

• Application Deadlines

The application closes at 17:00 p.m. Beijing Time on May 31, 2025.
